Fall 2014 Inspiration!

Fall, my favorite time of the year, is upon us. The air is cool and crisp in the mornings, leaves are falling and apple and pumpkin picking events are in full swing!!!

At a photo shoot this past weekend at a beauitful Central Virginia winery, I felt so inspired by the striking folliage I found sprinkled on the ground. I was drawn to these red berry hues. This gorgeous shade by MAC, called Yield to Love, is a perfect berry for fall.

In addition to lovely berrys, reds and nudes for the lips, the fall 2014 runways yielded several other fun makeup trends that I encourage you to experiment with, including using metallics and glitter on your eyes, using your eyeliner to really outline and define your eyes and going a little crazy with LOTS of mascara or false lashes.

Wishing you a very happy fall season!! 🙂

Rooftop Creativity

This summer I had the opportunity to put together a rooftop photo shoot with some very talented colleagues – Erica Haskins of Top Knot Studio and Sarah Peyton of Sarah Peyton Photography.

We spent a beautiful afternoon and evening getting our creative juices flowing on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville. Our models, Alexis and Leah, were so fun to work with. We had the best time perusing all of the cool clothing and accessories at Low Vintage, who kindly let us borrow items for our shoot.

We are already thinking of ideas for our next styled adventure. Can’t wait!

What get’s your creative juices going? You owe it to yourself to explore what inspires and excites you, and then share that inspiration with those around you!!

Cheers to putting your talents and passions to use!!! 🙂

A Little Beauty Fun for 2014!

Happy New Year lovely ladies!

I want to tell you about a fun, inexpensive beauty program that I signed up for a few months ago called Ipsy Glam Bag.

For just $10 a month you will receive a cosmetic bag filled with fun makeup and beauty items. I have been very impressed with the items I have received so far, including nail polish, eye shadow, mascara, bronzer, and lipstick. It has made me try new brands and products I would not have otherwise known about. With about 5 items in each monthly package, you are only spending around $2 per product, which is the best part!

So if you would enjoy receiving a little treat in the mail each month, consider signing up for the Glam Bag program. Go to http://www.ipsy.com and check it out today! The site will walk you through becoming a member and specifying your beauty likes and interests. When I first signed up I was placed on a wait list for the Glam Bag program, but received a notification about a month later that my first goodie bag was on its way. Also, you can cancel at any time.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and beautiful 2014!
